Garden Fence

Hi Everyone.

Sorry about writing in english as I´m an Italian that moved to Denmark last August. If it is not allowed I will remove it.

I recently bought a house and need to build a garden wire fence because of my dog, I never done this before, but I usually can be very handy and I would like to validate my plan with more experienced people.

I need to build a fence um U shape in my background, around 75meters, 25meters each side and 20 meters in the back. The plan is using 1.20m heigh wire fence:

For posts I was thinking about this every 1.8m:

And using this spikes to put it to the ground:

My main question is if I should use concrete instead and bigger poles. But since it is a wired fence not that high I'm thinking that I could get away with this. Any input is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the site
You don`t have to use this spikes, it will not work. Instead you by some round 50 mm round post 1,8 m and hammer them directly into the ground.
But first you have ti dig at small

Har nogen samlet det, kan det skilles ad. Samles igen ? ?

sorry it was late
But first you have to dig a small ditch, all the way round. It is because the fence must end10-15 cm into the ground.
The pole can be hammered about 50 - 60 cm into the ground.
In the corner you must make it stronger, by doing a 45 degres post in each direction, where the force is coming when you tighten your wir fence. To prowend that the corner pole could be going up Again you may dig it Down with a small ancer under the ground.
Hope you understand although I know that we did not have the same Englich teacher.

Thanks a lot for info! the English was super fine!

Question regarding the rounded poles, would not they rotten in some years by being put into the ground ? My idea of using the spikes would be to avoid that and also get a better look with the square posts.

Mange tak!

It will takes many years if you use some for outdoor use, they are impragnated. The problem with the spikes and poles are the very week point where they are connectet. They are good if you make a small house, but not good for fence. Off course you can use Square impragnated  post if you Means they look better. But it s much better that they go direcly into the ground.

Yes that is correct - best advice always from EvElmand

May give one more advice: If the ground is hard (as it is now when it is more or less dryed out) you may use a "pælebor" = drill into the soil.

http://www.xl-byg.dk/produkter/haven/haveredskaber/paelebor/

These are cheap and you may get in in a size just a little bigger than your posts.
Then fill in some sand afterwards, and wash it down with the waterhose. It will then fill the hole completely and strong.

Another easy solution is to buy "tentorstål" - Lengths so, that you may hammer them 60 cm into the ground.
http://www.bygmax.dk/8-mm-kamstal-laengde-6-m.html
Cut with angle-grinder.
In corners (Where you need diagonals to stiffen the corner) you may connect with "rørbøjler" http://lehaka.dk/u-boejler-varmgalvaniserede/
Tentorstål is not an beauty-solution, but it may be fast and you get a strong and flexible fence.

Greetings A.
